After nine games on Friday night in the NBA, we’ll get nine more on Saturday.

We’re starting our selection in Boston, where the Celtics aim to win their second game in as many nights after beating the Lakers on Friday. Then it’s west for 76ers vs. Trail Blazers and Jazz vs. Kings.

Check out our NBA betting analysts’ tips for Saturday night below.

Brandon Anderson: The Oklahoma City Thunder continues to beat above their weight this season. The Thunders are 6-9 and are in the last play-in seat for the time being, and they are 9-6 against the Spread (ATS). Opponents continue to overlook the Thunder as an easy win on the schedule, but it didn’t go that way.

The Thunder Offensive is pretty terrible. That is not to be questioned. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a star, and Josh Giddey had his rookie moments, but there just isn’t a lot of offensive talent here, let alone a lot of polish. If the Celtics defenses are really locked up, they could curb that attack.

But the Thunder remain in play with an organized defense. Mark Daigneault has quietly done a great job over the past two years coaching his team and maximizing the roster and talent he has. This defense is lengthy and, frankly, they go to great lengths.

The Thunder are 4-2 ATS this season as double-digit underdogs. The two times they didn’t cover came against the Jazz and the Warriors – perhaps the two best regular season teams in the NBA. You’ve covered all four other opportunities, with eight, three, and seven point losses and a win against the Lakers.

I’m not going to play them to win, but I’ll take the die-hard Thunder to battle a Celtics team that hasn’t been reliable from game to game. Let’s see if we can get another OKC cover.

Joe Dellera: Tyrese Maxey has been incredible for the 76ers this season. He has become a true point guard and is not afraid to shoot the basketball out of color. He has outperformed basketball, averaging 25.2 points in his last five games with just one game under 20 points (16 against Utah).

Simply put, Maxey is on a roll.

The Portland Trail Blazers are 20th this season in points allowed by opposing point guards. Although they kept Maxey at 10 points on Nov. 1, he only made eight shots in that game, which is dramatically different from his last five games where he shot more than double the 17.4. Between Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, no one is a particularly strong perimeter defender.

That line is at 17.5 and I would take that if that’s all you have at your disposal, but I also think that given his great game it’s worth playing at FanDuel at 20+ at +140 . The implied probability of these odds is 41.7%, but he has exceeded 20 in four of his last five (80%).

Utah Jazz vs. Sacramento Kings

Malik Schmidt: The Kings and Jazz sit on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to their pace in the first half of the games – the Kings rank fifth (102.69) and the Jazz 29th (97.8). But both offenses are effective at starting games. The Jazz have a 112.7 offensive rating (fourth best) and the Kings score 110.9 points per 100 (sixth best) in the first half.

The first half was 108 that game, falling half a point this morning before climbing back to 109.5 on some books. If the first half totals for both teams this season is less than 110, the combined over is 7-4 (63.6%), according to Bet Labs.

One of those unders came in a Jazz Hawks game in which Donovan Mitchell was out and both teams together scored 79 points in the first half. The other came against the Houston Rockets, who scored 40 points in one half.

I packed that at 107.5 and would still do that here, but no higher than 109.5.
