Hollywood Casino York raised nearly $ 4.8 million its first month of operation, according to country data.
And the executives of the new mini-casino are thrilled.
“We had a great opening,” said Jeff Morris, Penn National Gaming spokesman. “We’re really excited about the property and customers really enjoy it.”
More than $ 4.2 million of that revenue was generated from slot machines, the Gaming Control Board reported. The casino made $ 328,906 from table games and $ 150,564 from sports betting during that period.
Hollywood Casino York opened on August 12th. Located in York Galleria Mall, the mini casino features 510 slot machines, 24 table games, and the state’s first Barstool Sportsbook.

York’s earnings place it 14th among the state’s 18 casino gambling venues.
National gaming revenue was $ 408,092,073. That’s a 31.34% increase over the previous year’s total of $ 310,717,728.
The top three earners in the state were Parx Casino in Bensalem, Hollywood Casino in Penn National, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
Morris said he couldn’t talk about individual property revenue because of company policy. Instead, the company will discuss earnings during quarterly conference calls, which are expected next month.
“We are just very satisfied with the property, enjoy the great York community and look forward to an exciting autumn and winter,” he said.
