Day 3 SwimSwam Pick’ems Contest Score Update

In this post, we look at the points update for the SwimSwam Pick’em competition on and through Day 3 of the 2022 US International Team Trials. Below are two tables, one showing the scores of day 3 ordered from highest to lowest and another showing the scores of each of the first 3 days including total scores up to day 3.

The final session on Day 3 brought us thrilling race after race as the American record was smashed in each of the last 3 events, including a world record in the men’s 50m backstroke. We had several expected outcomes, like Caeleb Dressel to win the men’s 100 fly, Lili King winning women’s breast 50, and Michael Andrew Men take 50 breast.

We also had some surprise wins, including 16-year-olds Katie Grimes in women 400 IM come out on top. Also, we had our first finish of the meet that no one picked for their Pick’ems entries. 34-year-old Danielle Herrmann placed 4th in the women’s 50 breaststroke with a time of 31.06. None of the participants in this Pick’ems contest selected Herrmann for a place in the top 4.

Day 3’s winner is the nickname “SUPER SCOTT” who scored a whopping 111 points. 31 participants collected over 100 points in today’s events.

Looking at the overall scoring update, “Troyy” has taken the lead in the first 3 days. Troyy was a paragon of consistency in this competition, scoring 95 points on Day 1, 93 on Day 2, and 109 on Day 3.
