CRMNEXT, CU Sol and America’s Credit Union Museum Partners Launch 1st Annual WOW Contest

WASHINGTON, February 27, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The WOW (Women On Work) contest was created to celebrate inspiring women in the credit union ecosystem who are doing extraordinary work to advance the movement.

The contest is sponsored by CRMNEXT, CU Sol (a Credit Union CUSO) and America’s Credit Union Museum. And while this is a competition with real prizes, the overall goal is to pave the way for greater recognition of women in the CU landscape nationwide, inspire aspiring CU professionals and pave the way for future lending leaders pave union industry.

In this inaugural year, the WOW competition is launched at the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC). Washington, D.C at 27th of Februaryand submissions are accepted May 6thth2022.

judge Happy Pateuk has a clear idea of ​​what she is looking for in the top 3 winners of the competition. “I think of someone who’s persistent,” she says, “someone who’s resilient, who has a little dose of humility — we learn better from leaders like that — and someone who, at the end of the day, really made it.” , which is transformative.”

Anne Leg looks for specific strengths in 3 areas: leadership, impact on the industry as a whole, and how the individual “captures and spreads the spirit of the credit union”.

Each of our 5 valued judges will bring their own unique opinion, but there are a few criteria that will generally be of paramount importance. All nominees must work (or have worked) in the credit union ecosystem and their contributions must have had a significant impact on the CU movement. Judges are also looking for individuals who inspire, motivate and uplift other women in the industry, as well as individuals who have created new opportunities for growth and development.

The first-place winner of the contest will be inducted into the America’s Credit Union Museum’s Skywalk, and all three winners will have their names engraved in the museum’s history with a plaster or brick. Winners will also receive a paid trip to the museum for the induction ceremony, a cash prize or donation to a charity of the winner’s choice, and a crystal trophy, among other exciting prizes.

Stephanie Smiththe Credit Union Museum of the President of America, is particularly pleased that the contest will open on April 20thth anniversary of the museum. They will introduce the Skywalk, “a new exhibit that tells the story of credit union women past and present and inspires tomorrow’s leaders.” The first place winner of the competition will be included in this exhibit, and Stephanie encourages “everyone to be a part of Credit Union Women Making History: HERSTORY.”

Winners will be announced in a live webinar on May 24thth, and the induction ceremony for the first place winner at America’s Credit Union Museum will be held in early October.
