Las Vegas-based Circa Sports is expanding its operations to Illinois in partnership with Full House Resorts’ new casino development project, American Place.

The planned launch of Circa Sports in Illinois expands the sportsbook’s reach to a fourth state after Nevada, Iowa and Colorado.

“We are very excited to bring our industry-leading sportsbook and hospitality experience to Illinois,” said Circa Sports Founder and CEO Derek Stevens. “We’ve built incredible relationships with bettors in the Midwest at our Las Vegas casinos, so bringing our product to the great state of Illinois is a major milestone for us.”

“American Place was an excellent partner to launch our temporary sportsbook. This is the first time we are introducing a physical book in a new condition and we are delighted to be working with Full House to bring it to life.”

Circa Sports’ first arrival in Illinois will be at The Temporary by American Place, a temporary casino that Full House Resorts will operate while the permanent American Place Casino is built.

The Temporary will feature a betting area with betting kiosks, physical ticket booths and digital boards with real-time odds. The Circa Sports mobile app allows Illinois bettors to register, fund and bet from anywhere in the state. The permanent casino will also have a retail sportsbook.

Full House Resorts Chief Development Officer Alex Stolyar said, “We promised Illinois a world-class gaming and entertainment facility, and that includes a world-class sportsbook experience. We saw Derek and his team revolutionize the sportsbook and viewership experience at Circa and knew they would be the right partner for American Place.”

American Place is currently being developed into a premier gaming and entertainment destination in Waukegan’s Fountain Square neighborhood. The permanent casino facility will include approximately 1,600 slot machines, 100 table games and sports book.
