Bowdoin Announces Schedule Changes for Weekend Competitions (January 7-9)


BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College Athletic Department announced a number of schedule changes for this weekend’s competitions; all influence away games for polar bear teams. The latest updates are listed below. Click the links on the right to view the latest team plans.

Home games

The home games of the women’s basketball and women’s ice hockey home games in Bowdoin this weekend are currently taking place as planned. A reminder to fans that spectator access is restricted to those participating in the Bowdoin testing program. Off-campus spectators are not allowed and all games will be broadcast live on the Northeast Sports Network. Click here for the Bowdoin Spectator Guidelines.

Men’s basketball

Friday’s game at Trinity has been postponed to Tuesday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. CET. The Connecticut College game will take place as scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. in New London.

Men’s ice hockey

The competitions in Hamilton (Friday) and Amherst (Saturday) have also been postponed. The teams are currently working on new dates for these games.

Squash for men and women

The women’s game against Mount Holyoke scheduled for Saturday morning has been canceled. Due to the cancellation, the men’s and women’s squash teams will now play against Williams on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. instead of the originally planned start time at 5 p.m. The Friday games in Middlebury go ahead as planned.
