Boat Safety Poster Contest for Students

The Boating Safety Poster Contest is open to high school and junior high school students residing in Brunswick County.

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) – The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Associated Artists of Southport are hosting a poster competition for students on boat safety and marine mammal conservation at the Franklin Square Gallery.

Winners and contestants will be recognized at a reception at Franklin Square Gallery on May 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

The Boating Safety Poster Contest is open to high school and junior high school students residing in Brunswick County.

$350 prizes will be awarded. Prizes are given for the best show and for high school and middle school students.

The themes of the competition are ‘Life jackets save lives’, ‘Boat safety training saves lives’, ‘Have your boat ship safety inspection’ and ‘Protect our marine mammals – give them their space’.

Completed posters must be delivered to the Franklin Square Gallery at 130 E. West Street in Southport no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 19, 2022.
