Here are the best bets for Tuesday April 5th:
The game: Pelicans -7.5 over kings
The odds/bet: -110 ($33 to win $30)
The book: BetMGM, FanDuel
Time/TV: 9pm (Bally Sports NO)
Our opinion: The Pelicans need to get back into the winning column to stay in position for No. 9 in the West tonight, and they’re drawing a favorable matchup against an undermanned Kings team.
The Kings are tall without their two best players in De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, giving the Pels an opportunity with Brandon Ingram and company looking to bounce back from Sunday’s blowout loss to the Clippers to win.
The Pels have done well against the spread of late and that trend should continue tonight as Ingram and CJ McCollum lead a double-digit win and end their West Coast trip with momentum.
MISSILES TO COVER
The game: Rockets +17 over webs
The odds/bet: -110 ($11 to win $10)
The book: Caesar’s Sportsbook
Time/TV: 6:30 p.m. (NBA League Pass)
Our opinion: The Nets need this game and should be able to win by double digits, but a 17 point spread seems a bit excessive.
That’s why we like the Rockets here, as the Nets haven’t been dominant enough to justify being so high a favorite, especially lately considering they’ve lost three of their last four games despite Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were healthy.
The Nets have the potential to win big with their dynamic duo, but the Rockets haven’t been terrible lately, coming within 10 points in their last six games.

NOTICE: When a line or odds are negative, account is taken of the juice one must lay to place the bet. Example: Team A has -160 on the moneyline, you would have to bet $160 to win $100 (or $16 to win $10). OR Team B is a 5-point favorite at -110, would have to bet $110 to win $100 (or $11 to win $10).
Conversely, on positive lines, if Team C is +140 on the money line, $100 would net $140 (or $10 to win $14).
